Methods
In
LCD structure, thin film polarizers are used on the front and the
back surfaces of LCD to control light beams passing through liquid
crystal cell. Po Sing
provides three types of polarizing films for different
applications. They
are classified into Reflective Mode, Transflective Mode &
Transmissive Mode.
Reflective
Mode 反射模式
Always
use in high ambient light environment.

Transflective
Mode
半透射模式
Provide
intermediate lighting characteristics of reflecting and
transmitting. It can be used in direct sunlight and low light source
environment with backlighting.
Transmissive
Mode
透射模式
This
mode requires backlighting as light source.
It is suitable for insufficient sunlight environment.

Viewing
Angles
Normally,
viewing angle can be defined by azimuthally angle (∠)
measured from horizontal X-axis counter-clockwisely or using time
“O’Clock Position” definition.

Contrast
Ratio
Contrast
ratio is reflected by the ratio of transmission or reflection
brightness of segments at LCD’s ‘ON’ & ‘OFF’ states.
